Stress has quietly become one of the most common experiences in modern life. People of all ages—children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly—face constant pressures that affect their mental and emotional health. At the same time, psychologists have been trying to understand why some people cope better than others and bounce back faster from difficulties. This ability is known as resilience. Emotional well-being, which involves feeling balanced, stable, and able to manage life's ups and downs, is directly linked to both stress and resilience.
This research article examines how stress works, why it affects people differently, and how resilience plays a protective role. It also looks at the psychological processes that help individuals maintain emotional well-being despite challenges. The aim is to present a clear, human-centered understanding of these ideas that can guide mental health professionals, educators, and anyone interested in improving everyday life.
